Caritas Third Annual Lecture

Caritas Jersey’s Third Annual Lecture

Caritas is planning its third annual lecture which will be held on Tuesday 13th June.  This year it will be held at the Radisson Blue Hotel on the Waterfront.  As always, the event will start at 12.30 with a light buffet and will be concluded by 2.00 pm

The subject matter this year will be around the Eradication of Poverty in Jersey – Aspiration or Delusion?.

We are delighted to have the Chief Minister Senator Ian Gorst as our first speaker.  We are equally delighted to welcome the Very Reverend Bob Key, former Chair of the Jersey Living Wage Advisory Committee and former Anglican Dean of Jersey.

We have a very special guest of honour this year.  He is Dr Eugenio Fonseca and he is President of Caritas Portugal.  He will briefly address the guests before the lectures begin and will help launch the Caritas Social Inclusion Project.

Time permitting we hope to be able to have a short panel discussion following the main speakers and both Deputy Richard Renouf, Chair of the Health & Social Security Scrutiny Committee, and Malcom Ferey, Chief Executive of CAB, will join our speakers for this short discussion.

The event is by invitation only.  If you would like an invite then please contact

This should be a popular event so contact us soon!
